Delia Salazar Lozano, 71, was called home by the Lord on April 1, 2022. Delia passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 12, 1950, to the late Guadalupe Acuna Salazar and the late Herlinda Rodriguez Salazar. She had a loving heart, and she devoted her entire life to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, soon to be great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved music, dancing, gambling, word search puzzles, and shopping; but most of all, she loved her granddaughters. Delia enjoyed spending time with her family, enjoyed a loud and chaotic house, eating family meals together, and being surrounded by all four family pets. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Miguel Lozano; sister, Virginia Salazar; and brother, Juan R Salazar (Hilda). She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Salazar Mondragon (Richard) and Stephanie Salazar; two granddaughters, Mariyah Salazar and Dezeray Salazar; seven sisters, Sylvia Ramirez (Ernesto), Gracie Davila (Ernest), Diana Salazar Castillo (Raul), Lynda James (Lewis), Elva Gonzalez (Catarino), Aurora Cavazos (the late Bruno Cavazos), and Elda Rivera (the late Ruben); three brothers, Guadalupe Salazar Jr (Amparo), Ruben Salazar, and Robert Salazar; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 7, 2022, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending services at this facility and at the church.
