Delia Silva

Delia Silva passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 89.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  Delia graduated from Corpus Christi High School.  After graduation, Delia worked as a secretary for many years at Transport Company of Texas.  She also volunteered at Roy Miller High School in the library for over 20 years.  Delia was a member of the Golden Girls Club and they would visit families and console them at their time of need.  They also would raise money and provide scholarships to students to help them further their education.   Delia was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She loved her son and daughter immensely.  She will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jose Silva; her parents, Juan and Dolores Adame; sister, Virginia Bossman; and brothers, Mike and John Adame.

Delia is survived by her son, Arnold Silva; daughter, Susie Dykes; grandchildren, Elizabeth Silva, Jessica Silva, Samantha Silva, Thomas Camacho, Taylor Dykes, Shelby Picha, and Lauren Mayes; sister, Evila Rivas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extend family.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, January 4, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St.@ Port; with a rosary to be recited at 12:00 PM.  A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM to Seaside Memorial Park where Delia will be laid to rest.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
