Dick C. Hoskins Sr., 75, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2026.

He was born on April 10, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Dick proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and carried that same dedication, strength, and work ethic throughout every part of his life. For more than 40 years, he worked in the automobile upholstery business, becoming a true master of his craft.

Dick was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wiley Hoskins Sr.; his mother, Rachel Hoskins; his brother, Joseph Wiley Hoskins Jr.; his sister, Linda Tovar; and his beloved English bulldog, Big Mama.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maria Hoskins; his children, Dick C. (Gloria) Hoskins Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; Charlene (John) Schumacher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Cathy De La Paz of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Dwayne C. (Terie) Hoskins of Uvalde, Texas.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dick Charles Hoskins III, Victoria (John) Moreno, Hailey John Edward Schumacher, Valerie (Matthew) Rossiter, Kimberly Schumacher: Jay Valentina De La Paz, Isaak De La Paz, Angel De La Paz, Sophie Hoskins, and Carlie Hoskins, and his great-grandchildren, Landry Rossiter, Ramona Moreno, and Jonah Moreno. He is further survived by his sister, Gloria (Elvin) Bates, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Dick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St, Corpus Christi, TX 78405, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that evening. A chapel service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Treviño Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at 1:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 Interstate 37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
