Don Albert Lewis, affectionately known as “Bube”, was born October 3, 1951, in Corpus Christi, TX.

He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mt Olive Baptist Church. A lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Don was the beloved son of the late Velma L. Lewis and Archie Lewis Jr, whose values and guidance helped to shape the man he became. Don was a proud graduate of West Oso High School and carried with him a strong sense of loyalty and quiet strength throughout his life. Above all, Don cherished and deeply loved his family, holding them close to his heart and at the center of his life.

He is survived by his loving sister, Donna Green/Herbert, Houston, TX; his beloved niece, Stephanie Gayle, Brooklyn, NY, who held a special place in his heart; his longtime companion, Cheryl King, whose companionship brought him joy and comfort over the years; special cousins, Myrna Topsy, Ft Worth, TX and Milford Topsy/Sally Corpus Christi, TX; special aunt, Rosanell Lenued, Houston, TX; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Don will be remembered for the simple yet meaningful ways he showed up for the people he loved. His spirit, loyalty, and memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

Viewing for Don Albert Lewis will be held at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave, Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Chapel Service will begin at 11:00 AM and burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
