Doris Eva Harrris

Doris Eva Harris, 89, of Port Lavaca, TX, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024. She was born on April 29, 1934, in Oklahoma City, OK, to the late Marvin and Gladys Langley.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Harris Jr.; son, James R. Harris (Jimmy); twin sister, Dolores Varga; sisters, Dorothy Tschirgi and Patricia Weber; and brother, Marvin Langley, Jr.

Doris, known for her warm and caring nature, was a dedicated volunteer for the Flour Bluff ISD Booster Club. She took great joy in watching sports, cooking delicious meals, decorating her home, hosting holiday gatherings, and exploring new destinations through travel.

She is survived by her loving children, Melvin, Judy and Michael, along with her, sister Lynda Cook. Doris also leaves behind eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at Duncan Cemetery, 2496 Debra Ln., Corpus Christi, TX 78418, on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 10am. The arrangements entrusted to Treviño  Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX.

Doris will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
