Dorothy Sue Nation Mahavier

Dorothy Sue Nation Mahavier, age 79, born on September 29, 1936 in Blossom, TX, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 30, 2015. Sue is greatly loved and will be missed by her friends and family because she was a loving person, God natured, and fun to be with. She was known for always being cheerful, and having a smile for everyone she encountered. Sue had a close and unique bond with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who affectionately referred to Sue as MeeMaw. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Columbus Nation and Lily Fay Nation; 9 brothers and sisters; son, Clyde "Buddy" Mahavier, III; and granddaughter, Kelly Marie Stanley. She is survived by her sister, Lottie Nation Stephens; daughter, Mahna Kay (Peter) Prokopuk; daughters, Candace Leigh Mahavier, Arnetta "Arni" (Steven) Daniel; grandchildren, JoJo Ferro, Steve Prokopuk, Michael Lee Doss, Marguerite Daniel, Jordan Daniel, Leah Prokopuk; great grandchildren, Christian Stanley, Bailey Ferro, Chelsea Ferro, Nadalynn Hernandez, Nevaeh Hernandez, Jett Daniel Garza, Wyatt, Daniel Villegas, and Beckett Levi Daniel. The family will be receiving friend on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front Street, Alice, Texas, starting at 8 am; with a Chapel service to be held at 10:30 am; burial will follow at Alice Cemetery.
