Eduardo Barrera Hinojosa

Eduardo Barrera Hinojosa passed away on April 24, 2019 at the age of 72. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whom loved him.

Eduardo is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hinojosa; sons, Stephen (Leticia) Hinojosa, Daniel (Dolores) Hinojosa, and Lewis Hinojosa; daughters, Leonor (Ruben) Torrez and Andrea Hinojosa; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ramon (Julia) Hinojosa, John (Mary) Hinojosa, Ismael (Angelica) Hinojosa, Reynaldo (Mary Ellen) Hinojosa, and Ricardo Hinojosa; sisters, Martina Salas and Mary (Manuel) Martinez.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 PM. A chapel service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Treviño Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral cortege will depart the chapel at 12:30 PM to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment with military honors.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Jonathan Hinojosa, Andrew Hinojosa, Richard Ortiz, Rudy Ortiz, Raul Ortiz, Michael Hinojosa, Gabriel Hinojosa, and Nathan Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be James Acosta and Thomas Hinojosa.
