Eduardo Pena

Eduardo Tellez Pena passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 76.  He was born on December 27, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.  He served in the United States Army and National Guard in 1962 and owned several businesses, such as the Astromatic Car Wash and Detail and Connie Tacos To Go.  Eduardo will be remembered for the love for dancing, going to the movies, watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends including those he welcomed in his home and took care of as his own.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesus and Genoveva Pena; sisters, Amelia Lucio and Janie Mota; brother, Eliazar Pena; nephew, Jessie Pena, who he loved as his own.

Eduardo is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosa Pena; children, Consuelo Pena-Tamez, David (Rebecca) Pena, Eloy Vallejo, Anita Pena, Angelica (Samuel) Urbina, and Danielray Pena; sister, Aurora Torres; brother, Arturo Pena, and Jimmy Ayala who he considered a brother; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a rosary to be recited 7:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
