Edward Maurice Kearney

On Friday, February 18, 2022, Edward Maurice Kearney, a loving son, and brother passed away at the of age 61 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Edward was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Kearney and sister, Marie Kearney.

Edward Kearney received his Bachelor of Arts in Communication on May of 1986 at Corpus Christi State University in Corpus Christi Texas. On, August of 1998, he became a dedicated police officer. He served his community for 32 years until his retirement. Edward was a pillar of the community and touched so many lives.

Ed loved good music and was an excellent writer. He enjoyed collecting music albums. Edward was also a poet who had a collection of poems that he wrote himself.

Edward leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother, Betty Kearney; brothers, David Kearney, Donald Kearney; sister, Amanda Dredden Patterson; several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and brothers in arms who loved him.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at New Life Church, 5801 McArdle Rd, Corpus Christi, TX  78412 with a Celebration of Life to be held at 11:00 AM with Senior Police Chaplain Chuck Freeman officiating. Services will conclude that same day.
