Eleanor Ruth Consoli, a woman of faith and compassion, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Corpus Christi, TX, at the age of 89. Born on March 6, 1936, in Lynn, MA, Eleanor's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family, her country, and her God. Eleanor's journey began as the cherished daughter of Kenneth and Vivian Florence. Her early years in Massachusetts set the stage for a life of service and dedication. Eleanor's commitment to caring for others led her to a noble career in nursing where she not only excelled as a Nurse Practitioner, but also served her country with honor in the United States Air Force and later with the Veterans Administration. Her passion for helping those in need was evident in her tireless volunteer work within the community, always giving of herself to better the lives of others. Her devotion to her Roman Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. Eleanor's love for her family was boundless, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her son, Angelo Consoli, Jr. and his wife Carolyn; her adoring grandchildren, Angelo III, Nick, Katherine, Shelby (Mark), Jackson, and K.C.; her brother, Robert (Lucille) Florence; and brothers-in-law, Francis (Anne) Consoli and Richard Bernardi. Eleanor's life was enriched by the presence of these loved ones, and their memories of her will be cherished forever. Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Angelo Consoli, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. She was also predeceased by her son, Kenneth (Laura); her parents, Kenneth and Vivian Florence; her sister, Marilyn Bobo; and her brother, Kenneth Florence (Barbara). Each of these individuals held a special place in Eleanor's heart and their influence on her life will not be forgotten. In her later years, Eleanor embraced a more private life finding joy in the simple pleasures of watching westerns, listening to music, and reflecting on the many blessings she had received. Her love for the staff at Villa South Assisted Living and Memory Care was profound, and she formed a particularly close bond with her aide and best friend of the last two-plus years, RosaLinda Joslin, from Senior Helpers. Eleanor's gratitude for the care and companionship she received was immense, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Eleanor Ruth Consoli was the epitome of a faith-filled life. Her unwavering spirit, generosity, and kindness touched the lives of many leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to cross her path. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we take solace in knowing that her legacy of love, service, and faith will continue to inspire and guide us. Eleanor's life was a beautiful reflection of the values she held dear, and her memory will be treasured forever.
