Eleanor J. Thigpen

Eleanor J. Thigpen, age 77, passed away on August 29, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Viola (Wandell) Kasson; husband, Jay Fred Thigpen; sons, Marty Kasson, Teddy Thigpen, and Harry Thigpen; two sisters, Betty Miller, Jean Murphy; and brother, Bill Kasson. She leaves behind her loving children, Donna (Will) Floyd, Carrie Spencer, Aaron (Tina) Thigpen, Les (Brandy) Spencer, Shari Spencer (Jeff), Richard (Cindy) Spencer, Ronnie Spencer, Fred Thigpen; sisters, Dolores Spencer, and Geraldine Kline; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral chapel service will be held at 10:00 am at Trevino Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, in Aransas Pass, Texas.
