Elena Z. Carrasco

Elena Z. Carrasco passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at the age of 81. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Elena will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Zavala and Juana Vazquez; sister, Consuelo Zavala; aunts, Catalina Huitron and Aurelia Zavala-Contreras; and uncle, Genaro Zavala-Contreras.

Elena is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Israel G. Carrasco; children, David Carrasco, Belinda Carrasco, Martha (Roger) Valderrama, and Israel (Melinda) Carrasco, Jr.; grandchildren, Marcus Valderrama, Christopher Lopez, Raquel Valderrama, and Isabella Carrasco; great-grandchildren, Justin Valderrama, Jonah Valderrama, and Josiah Valderrama; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family. The family will receive condolences on Friday, November 2, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral cortege will depart the chapel at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2018, to Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude after mass and cremation will follow. Honoring Elena as pallbearers will be Marcus Valderrama, Christopher Lopez, Raquel Valderrama, Isabella Carrasco, Daniel Gutierrez, and Alyssa Carrasco.
