Elijah Paul Chupe went to his eternal rest on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the age of 27. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was a graduate of John Paul II High School, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11107, Assembly 1097, and a member of St. Pius X choir. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, and spending time with family. He loved singing and playing the piano, guitar, and cello. Elijah will be remembered for his amazing voice that he shared with so many through Corpus Christi Cathedral choir and a cantor at St. Pius X Catholic Church. He had a wonderfully generous heart and was always ready to help anyone, anytime, without expecting anything in return.
Elijah is survived by his parents, Urban John and Kathleen Chupe; brother, Jonas (Caitlyn) Chupe; sister, Sara Chupe, all of Corpus Christi; paternal grandparents, Urban and Janie Chupe of Aransas Pass, Texas; aunts, Yolanda Balli of Corpus Christi, Anna (Richard Kline) Chupe of Rockport, Texas, and Yolanda Longoria of Edmonds, WA; uncle, Richard Balli of Corpus Christi; cousins, Xavier Balli of Corpus Christi, Gabriel Longoria of Edmonds, WA, and Darwin Kline of Rockport, Texas; nephew, Brody Chupe of Corpus Christi; and numerous friends all over the United States.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude that same evening.
Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
