Elizabeth Ann Saldana “Liza,” 62, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, at Spohn Shoreline Hospital. She was born on September 17, 1964, in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she was raised and called home throughout her life.
Liza was a beautiful, free-spirited woman with an outgoing personality and a contagious smile. She had a special way of brightening anyone’s day with her humor, her generous and caring heart, and her ability to make people feel welcomed and loved. Her sense of humor was truly one of a kind, and those who knew her will carry her laughter and memories in their hearts forever.
In her younger years, Liza worked as a hairdresser, a profession that allowed her to connect with and care for others. She loved the beach, rock ’n’ roll, and, most of all, simply enjoying life. She was always ready to have a good time and create memories with the people she loved.
Liza was a deeply giving and compassionate person. If someone was in need, she was always willing to help. Her door was always open, and she had a way of making people feel like family. She loved her family fiercely and treasured the people God placed in her life. Her faith in God was strong, and we find comfort knowing that she is now resting in His presence.
Liza leaves behind her beloved husband, Ross Saldana; her children, Jessica, JD, and Gilbert; her grandchildren, Matthew, Leah, Pistol, Eli, and Gage; and her great-grandchildren, Melanna, Maylee, and Arya. She is also survived by her brother, David Garcia and his wife, Vicky; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who became family and loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gilberto and Alida Garza, whom she missed very much. We find comfort in knowing that Liza is now rejoicing in Heaven with them, reunited with the parents she loved so deeply.
Liza will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her smile, laughter, generosity, faith, and free spirit will live on through her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched.
Until we meet again, Liza. We love you.
