Elizabeth "Liz" Armadillo

Elizabeth “Liz” Armadillo, age 55, passed away on March 18, 2022. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 17, 1967 to Paul C. Armadillo and Rebecca Maza. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and love her.

Liz loved cooking and breaking bread with her family. You could often find her singing praise and worship songs and enjoying time in her garden, admiring the butterflies and hummingbirds passing by. Liz was always ready to help someone, even when she didn't have much to give. She will be remembered as the life of the party with her famous smile that would light up the room. Liz had a big loving heart, and her family says that Heaven gained one the best angels they know.

Liz was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Maza; and three brothers, Paul Armadillo, Steve Mata, and Mark Armadillo.

She is survived by her father, Paul C. Armadillo; three daughters, Brittney Armadillo, Sandra Armadillo, and Savana Armadillo; her seven grandchildren who meant the world to her, Rene "Nene" Garcia, Raul “Babushe” Garcia, Li'syl Spencer, Devon Spencer, Rebecca Armadillo, Xavier "XayXay" Martinez, and Isaiah Armadillo; and her siblings, Jo Lopez, Grace and Otilio Barrientos, Janelle "Necka" Mata, Norma "Mickey" Jean Baker, Christine "Bubbles" Mata, John “PonPon” and Melissa Mata, Aaron “Patito” and Christy  Mata, and Desirene Armadillo and Robert Serrata. She also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends whom she adored. She is also survived by her best friend, Julie, who even in the end, never left her side.

The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will be scheduled at a later date.
