Eloy Guerra

Eloy C. Guerra Sr. passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 72, surrounded by his family. Eloy was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pablo Guerra; his mother, Sofia Guerra; stepmother, Rafaela Guerra; and sister, Sylvia Guerra.

Left behind to cherish Eloy’s memories are his wife of 53 years, Mary Lou Guerra; daughters, Mimi Saenz (Rudy Rodriguez), Molly Casarez, Melinda Guerra, and Michele Lee Guerra; his sons, Eloy (Thelma) Guerra Jr., Ernest (Amy) Guerra, and Paul (Tracy) Guerra; brothers, Armando (Belinda) Guerra, Abel Guerra, Guadalupe Salazar, Cruz (Linda) Salazar, and Eddie Guerra; sisters, Yolanda Hodges, Elodia (Willie) Marroquin, and Marta Guerra, along with 18 grandchildren, and 30 great- grandchildren.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Treviño Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2513 Nogales St., at 1:00PM. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Honoring Eloy as pallbearers will be, Molly Casarez, Eloy Guerra Jr., Ernest Guerra, Pablo Guerra, Adam Casarez III, and JC Gonzalez.
