Emma Gomez Rivera

Emma G. Rivera, age 80, passed away on December 2, 2013. Emma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the owner of The City Bakery and Restaurant. Her passion was cooking, for her family and customers. She also loved bowling at Ayers Bowling Lanes. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Santiago "Jimmy" Morales Rivera. She leaves behind her children, Irma Rivera Pena, Rosita De La Paz, Santiago G. Rivera Jr., Reynaldo (Lupe) Rivera, Juan Rivera, Pablo (Juana) Rivera, Rogelio Rivera; sisters, Minnie Hernandez; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 am; interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
