Enrique Garza, Jr.

Enrique Garza, Jr., age 59, passed away peacefully at 4:03 a.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Alice, TX. He accepted Christ into his life as his Savior and passed away knowing that the Lord is his Savior. He is survived by his mother, Dora Gomez Garza Flores (Valentine Flores); his maternal aunt, Nora Gomez McAdams (Dennis McAdams); uncles, Gilberto Garza (Lydia) and Humberto Garza (Esperanza); and step-brother, Daniel Lee Flores (Juli-Anna). He is preceded in death by his paternal uncles, Erasmo, Corando, and Carlos Garza; and paternal aunt, Esperanza Cuevas; maternal aunt, Ninfa Nelda Cardenas; paternal grandparents, Gilberto Garza, Sr. (Enecina); and maternal grandparents, Pedro Gomez (Ninfa). He was an only child but had numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews mourn his passing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Treviño Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St., from 4 to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM that evening. Rites of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
