Enrique R. Garza, Sr.

Enrique R. Garza, Sr, age 80, passed away on Wednesday January 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Enrique was born on November 30, 1941, to his parents, Manuel and Paz Garza, Sr. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Enrique was a family man whose main goal was to provide for the needs of his family. He always wanted what was best for his children and would go beyond the call of duty to assist and help them with whatever they needed. He was a jack of all trades and there was nothing he couldn’t do or fix. His main job was setting the foundations of many building all around south Texas. He was strong willed and a fighter till the end; ready to go meet his Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Paz Garza, Sr; brothers, Adan Garza, Valdemar Garza, Manuel Garza, Jr, Antonio Garza, Benito Segura, and Rito Segura; and sisters, Isabel Trevino, Consuelo Escochea, Anita Saldivar, Paula Gutierrez, Eva Garza, and Beatriz Benavides. Enrique is survived by his faithful wife of 57 years, Maria Garza; daughter, Leticia Garza; son, Enrique (Michelle) Garza, Jr; grandchildren, Brendan Posey, Cherish Posey, Dominic (Samantha Vasquez) Aldama, Enrique (Victoria Gomez) Garza, III, Joshua Garza, Brittney (Juan Garza) Garza, and Christopher Seiffert; brothers, Ricardo Garza and Norberto Segura; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
