Ernest Hinojosa Sanchez

Ernest Hinojosa Sanchez, age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2013. He joins in heaven his mother, Estella H. Sanchez, and father, Marin R. Sanchez. Ernest was a loving, husband, father, brother, and friend. He was well known for his love for El Caminos, Elvis Presley memorabilia, and liked to browse online. Ernest retired after 30 years of dedicated work as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic from Corpus Christi Army Depot. He will be dearly missed. Ernest leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Nelda J. Sanchez; sons, Ernest Sanchez, and Ernest Richard Sanchez Jr.; grandchildren, Amber M. Sanchez, Brianna E. Sanchez, Cassandra E. Sanchez, Ernest M. Sanchez III; great granddaughter, Elena N. Martinez; brothers and sisters, Lillie Villarreal, Helen Trevino, Marin Sanchez Jr., Celia (Mario) Ramirez, Carlos Sanchez; sister-in-laws, Sylvia (Abelardo) Olivarez, Maria B. Gonzalez; brother-in-laws, Ben Castillo III, Jerald V. Castillo; and numerous nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be: Ernest Richard Sanchez Jr., Marin Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez, Joseph Garza, Robert Trevino, and Daniel Trevino. Nelda would like to give a special thank you to all the family and friends for their support and prayers. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 10:00 am; internment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
