Erwin "Goyito" Gregorio Franco

Erwin “Goyito” Gregorio Franco passed away on January 8, 2022 at the age of 55. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend.

Erwin was born on October 6, 1966 in Guatemala and later moved to California where he attended college and received his associate degree. Erwin worked as a maintenance technician for many years. He then went on to marry his beloved wife, MaryLou.

Erwin was a wonderful man who was very talented in the kitchen and will always be remembered for his famous brisket and barbeque recipes. If he wasn’t in the kitchen cooking, you could find him dancing and living life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Erwin is preceded in death by his mother, Marina Franco; his father figure, Miguel Franco; and his brother, Melvin Echeverria Franco.

Erwin leaves his loving legacy to his beloved wife, MaryLou Franco; his sister, Alba (Edgar Lopez) Franco; his nephew who looked after him, Jose Angel Diaz; his nephew who was named after him, Erwin Daniel Echeverria; his nephews, Jeffrey Villarreal, Reynaldo Ramirez, Rigoberto Mendoza Jr., Augustine Mendoza, and Thomas Garcia Jr.; his nieces, Carlota Reynaldo, Yuri Garcia, Ruby Garcia, Aurora Garcia, and Angie Canales; his puppy, Pachuco; his cat, Chico; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
