Obituary

Esmeralda Salinas, born on May 30, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas, was a radiant light in the lives of those who had the privilege to know her. She departed from this world on December 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, care, and unwavering compassion.

Esmeralda dedicated her life to serving others, a testament to her role as a health provider for her late mother, Viviana Escobedo. Throughout her career, she showcased her remarkable talent for hospitality at Jalisco’s and The Blue Clove restaurants. Known for her bright personality, humor, and ability to engage anyone in conversation, Esmeralda made every interaction meaningful. Her compassionate heart and exceptional service endeared her to countless patrons, whom she treated as family.

Beyond her career, Esmeralda held a wealth of interests that enriched her life and the lives of those around her. She was an avid cook who found joy in preparing meals, adored fashion and cosmetics, and cherished her morning ritual of coffee and cigarettes. Her love for family was evident in the holidays spent together, and her strong faith grounded her throughout her life. Esmeralda found enjoyment in watching shows like Forensic Files and Unsolved Mysteries, often losing herself in the intrigue of the stories.

Esmeralda's laughter, a signature attribute, showcased her vibrant spirit—a loving, caring woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She created a warm and welcoming atmosphere for family and friends, and her home was a sanctuary filled with love and joy.

Esmeralda leaves behind her beloved sister, Sonia Puente; her cherished children, Tony Posada and Luis Ibarra (Ramona Ibarra); and her glamdaughters, Mallori and Viviana, who brought her immense joy. She is also lovingly remembered by Beth Medina; her godson and nephew, Julian Puente; nephew Francisco Javier Puente; niece Gisele Puente; brother-in-law Pedro Puente; her aunt, Anastasia Gonzales; her cousins, Veronica Gonzales, Francis Castro, Antonio Posada and family; and her beloved fur baby, Chase.

Esmeralda is reunited in eternal rest with her mother, Viviana Escobedo; her father, Daniel Salinas; her brothers, Juan Daniel Salinas and Manuel Salinas; her grandfather, Ramiro Escobedo; her grandmother, Rosario Escobedo; her uncles, Henry Gonzales and Aurelio Escobedo; her aunts, Maixmina Escobedo and Juanita Escobedo; and her beloved fur baby, Coco.
