Esther Hernandez Garcia

Esther Hernandez Garcia, a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on April 22, 1960, Esther's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with dedication to her family, an unwavering faith, and a passion for the simple pleasures of life. Esther's legacy is carried on by her adoring family, including her four cherished children: Juan Carlos Hernandez and his wife Laura, Daniel Luis Hernandez, Carolina Garcia, and Sallee Susana Garcia. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Dominick Salomon, Charlie Hernandez, Khloe Hernandez, Jewelene Hernandez, A’driel Hernandez, Johnathan Carrizales, Dimitree Anthony Delgado, Lillian Jade Garcia, and Deja Joliee Garcia, whose laughter and footsteps filled her home with warmth and happiness. Esther's love extended to her two stepchildren, whom she embraced as her own. Her spirit is also remembered by her devoted siblings: Veronica Hernandez, Richard Hernandez with his wife Gracie, and Patsy Vasquez-Contes with her husband Luis Vasquez-Contes, along with her affectionate nephews and nieces. Esther was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guadalupe Garcia Jr., her dear father Charlie Luis Hernandez, her caring mother Hortencia Flores Hernandez, and her brothers Charles Louis Hernandez and Manual Hernandez. Each of them held a special place in her heart and shaped the woman she became. A woman of many interests, Esther's enthusiasm for life was infectious. She found joy in shopping, painting, and creating small woodcrafts, which often became treasured gifts for her loved ones. Her purses and indoor/outdoor decor collections were a testament to her impeccable taste and eye for beauty. Esther had a green thumb, and her garden was a lush sanctuary that mirrored her nurturing soul. Family was the cornerstone of Esther's world. She relished family outings, where her presence was a source of comfort and happiness. A devout follower of Jehovah, Esther was passionate about spreading the word and living her truth with every action. Her love for road trips, party planning, and Tejano music were intertwined with her role as the life of the party. A fan of the Cowboys, she shared her enthusiasm for the team with spirited zeal. Esther's generosity knew no bounds. She took immense pleasure in being the caretaker for her loved ones, often paying for everyone at gatherings to ensure that joy was shared and cherished. Birdwatching brought her quiet moments of reflection, while quality time with her grandchildren was her greatest treasure. Those who knew Esther will remember her as the embodiment of love, friendliness, and kindness. She had the rare ability to light up a room with her smile and leave a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her caring nature made her a confidant and friend to many, and her absence will be deeply felt. As we bid farewell to Esther Hernandez Garcia, we celebrate a life lived with fervor and an unending commitment to her family and faith. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars illuminate the night sky. Esther's journey on earth may have concluded, but her spirit remains an eternal flame in the hearts of those who loved her.
