Eugenio Solis, Jr., age 74, passed away on September 20, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born September 26, 1951, in Laredo, TX, to Eugenio B. Solis and Sara Vallejo Solis. Eugenio was a loving son, husband, and father. He was devoted to his parents, his wife, his siblings, his sons, and his grandchildren. Eugenio was a kind-hearted individual who had an abundance of friends and was ready to lend a helping hand.

Eugenio was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio and Sara Solis, and brothers-in-law, Manuel Martinez and Victor Ordiorne. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sylvia L. Solis; children, Eugenio Solis III (Brenda) and Eduardo Javier Solis (Andrea); stepsister, Julieta Palacios; sisters, Norma Martinez and Griselda Odiorne; brother, Ramiro Solis (Zulema); grandchildren, Shelby R. Solis, Andrew Solis, Andrew M. Solis, Eleanor Rae Solis, Eduardo Javier Solis, Jr., Esteven Javier Solis; and great-granddaughter, Kairi Marie M Solis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Eugenio attended and graduated from United High School, Laredo, TX, and later attended Cisco Jr. College and Laredo Jr. College. He worked for the Webb County Sheriff’s office in Laredo, TX, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Kingsville Task Force, he was contracted to the U.S. Marshalls Federal Courthouse Corpus Christi, TX and Laredo, TX, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office as Commander, and the Taft Police Department as Commander.

His education and vast experiences shaped him into the remarkable man he was and his wisdom and guidance will be missed by all who knew him.

In conclusion, Eugenio Solis, Jr. was a remarkable man who touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and talents. His devotion to his family and friends will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. Eugenio’s spirit and love for life will live on through the memories and stories shared by those who were fortunate to know him. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry his memory in their hearts.

In honor of Eugenio, recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5830 Williams Dr. Corpus Christi, TX 78412.
