Obituary

Federico Garcia, Sr., a cherished member of his community and dedicated family man, passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on October 9, 1968, Federico lived a life filled with hard work, love, and commitment, which left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Federico devoted a significant part of his life to the automotive industry, working at Coastal Bend Ford, previously Blake Fulenwider, for about 20 years. His remarkable work ethic earned him the reputation of being an individual who never said no to anyone, always ensuring that he was the first to arrive and the last to leave at work. He was known for his love of coffee, which fueled his dedication to his craft.

Above all, Federico was a proud father, and his children, Priscilla Garcia, Alexander Martinez, and Alexis Garcia, were the lights of his life. He cherished moments spent with his six grandchildren, always eager to share his passion for life and interests across generations. He was also a loving son to Maria J. Nuncio, and a supportive brother to his siblings, Gloria Garcia, Juan Garcia, Jose Garcia, Rebecca Parker, and Juan Manuel Garcia. Federico's love extended beyond his immediate family, as he built strong bonds with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will hold his memory close to their hearts.

Federico's passions included fishing, being an avid automotive enthusiast and mechanic, and riding his motorcycle. He brought joy to many, and his kind-hearted nature will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his son, Federico Garcia, Jr., and his father, Juan P. Garcia. Their memories will remain intertwined with the legacy he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance during Visitation on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave; with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM that evening. A Chapel Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM, on Friday, March 6, 2026. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 10:00 AM, where Federico will be laid to rest.

Federico Garcia, Sr.’s presence will be felt for years to come, a testament to the love he gave and the lives he touched.
