Federico Valle Gomez, Sr.

Federico Valle Gomez, Sr. passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the age of 75.  He was a hardworking and loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He had a passion for Western movies and he loved wearing his Stetson hat.  Federico was also an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan; his favorite past time was weekend Bar-B-Que’s with his family and fishing on his spare time.  He loved his family and adored his grandkids. Federico will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Policarpo Gomez and Evelia Valle; sister, Rosalinda Gomez; brothers, Armando Gomez and Gerardo Gomez.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Rita C. Gomez; children, Rose (Ted) Longoria, Federico Gomez Jr.,   Joe (Laura) Gomez, and Javier Gomez; brothers, Hector L. (Ramona†) Gomez, Ruben (Rosario) Gomez, Jaime (Minerva) Gomez, Ramiro Gomez,  Ray (Minerva†) Gomez, Rolando (Maria Louisa) Gomez, and Joe G. (Liz) Gomez; sister, Blanca Gomez; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter on the way; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 5 PM to 9 PM; with a Prayer Service to begin at 7 PM.  A Chapel Service will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Treviño Funeral Home.  A Funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 11:00 AM to Seaside Memorial Park for Rite of Committal and Interment at 11:30 AM.
