Felicitas Medina

A beloved mother, Felícitas Medina, passed away on May 14, 2024. She battled metastatic breast cancer for close to 12 years, but her unwavering strength and faith only grew through the journey.

Fela was the heart and root of her home and family. Along with her husband, Julio Beltran, they raised five children, Joseline, Jayden, Cassandra, Avigail, and Sophia in a home they called their “Secret Garden.”

Fela is survived by her mother, Carmela Bugarin; her siblings, Antonio (Martha) Medina and Jessica Medina (Jerry Cavazos); along with her beloved dog, Dodge. Fela was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Medina Vasquez.

Fela loved to decorate her home and was inspired by the home and design magazine, Magnolia, as well as the many trips she took to Hobby Lobby. She also loved to do arts and crafts with her Cricut and randomly watched Hallmark Christmas movies in April with a good cup of coffee.

To many of her close friends and family, her joy embraced others, her laugh brought life, and her unwavering faith granted strength. Fela’s creativity portrayed the heart she had for her children and her smile portrayed the unconditional love she carried for those around her.

From the beginning, Fela always gave God the glory no matter the circumstance and persevered until the very end. She fought for her life each and every day, with a smile that would never falter, a laugh that only grew, and tears that spoke of the day she would be able to finally rest in the Lord’s home.

Felicita’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Templo Elim Assembly of God, 2625 Gollihar Rd.; with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 PM. Services will conclude that afternoon.
