Felipe Miranda Aranda

Felipe Miranda Aranda passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family on May 26, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Felipe Miranda Aranda was born in Madero, Tamaulipas Mexico to Onesimo and Esperanza Aranda. Felipe was a man who loved God, who was compassionate, caring, had a heart of gold, and was a hard worker. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Corpus Christi, and Foster Grandparent program at Zavala Elementary. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Onesimo and Esperanza Aranda; his brothers, Carlos and Luis Aranda; his sister, Nito; and his great-granddaughter, Lilliana Yamamoto.

Felipe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Yolanda “Yoli” Aranda; his children, Maria Christina (Rick) Durham of Corpus Christi, Felipe (Shawn) Nixon-Aranda, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Mary Ann Sosa of Corpus Christi, Gracie (Richard) Riojas of Corpus Christi, and Andres Aranda of Corpus Christi; his grandchildren, Bianca (Derek) Salinas, Stephanie (Marco) Yamamoto, Alicia “Mari” Aranda, Felipe Aranda Jr., Elizabeth Aranda, Miranda Aranda, Cheyenne Aranda, Matthew Aranda, Fabian Aranda, Marcus Aranda, and Phillip Rader, Ashley Bailey, Shayla Bailey, Michael Bailey, Nicolas Bailey, Natalie Bailey, Crystal Durham (John) Paull, Johnathan Durham, and Joshua Durham; Great grandchildren, Ismael Santos Aranda Dominquez, Cerina Monsevais, Araceli Monsevais, and Rene Monsevais III, Gabriel Michael Salinas, Blake LaBrier, Adalyn Rader, Sander Rader, Jayden L. Paull, and Aria Janae Paull.

Visitation will be from 5pm-9pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
