Felipe S. Garcia

Felipe S. Garcia passed away on January 16, 2021 at the age of 92.  He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was also a Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War and life-long Avid softball player. He will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margarita S. Garcia; his son, Jaime Garcia; his parents, Gilberto Garcia and Maria S. Garcia; his sister, Aurora Delgado; and his brothers, Gilbert Garcia and Carlos Garcia.

Left behind to cherish Felipe’s memories are his children, Mike Garcia (Monica), Felipe S. Garcia Jr (Lori), and Belinda Meacham; nine grandchildren; five great-grand children, brother, Jerry S. Garcia; sister, Mary Helen Trejo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 21, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2021, at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rite of Committal and Interment following at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
