Fernando "Fern Dog" Garza

Fernando “Fern Dog” Garza, 52, was called by the Lord on March 1, 2017. He was born on November 16, 1964 in Corpus Christi, TX to Eudosio Garza and the late, Oralia O. Garza. Fern Dog was an avid Cowboy fan. He loved to BBQ and spend time with family and friends, but mostly his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Oralia O. Garza; brother, Joe Garza; and sister, Sara Garza. Fernando is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elida A. Garza of CC, TX; daughter, Francisca B. Longoria; four sons, Ramiro H. (Chrissy) Garcia, Gerard (Nana) Garcia, Michael J. Garza, and Fernando Rubio all of CC, TX; grandmother, Francisca Villarreal; brother, Ramon (Monica) Garza; 2 other brothers and 3 sisters; and his greatest joy, 14 grandkids and two great-grandkids. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Treviño Funeral Home; with a rosary to be recited at 7pm; Cremation will follow.
