Filiberto Perez Lopez, born January 4, 1934 in Orange Grove, TX to Juan Cruz Lopez and Gregoria Perez Lopez, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on June 27, 2018 at the age of 84. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War.
Filiberto is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Gregoria P. Lopez; wife, Estefana Herrera Lopez; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors left to cherish his memories are his six children: Filiberto Lopez, Jr. (Angela) of New York, Vilma Ontiveros (Martin) of Baytown, Eustolio “Tony” Lopez of Baytown, Cruz Lopez of Arizona, Roman Lopez (Ethel) of New York, and San Juanita Lopez (Abel Reyes) of Baytown; one sister, Alvida Alaniz; and one brother, Guadalupe Lopez.
Fileberto is also survived by wonderful grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers; Christopher Lopez, Jose Reyes, Cruz Lopez, Jr., Timothy Lopez, and Ramon Lopez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rudy Alaniz, Tofy Alaniz, Roel Alaniz.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 5 to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 to Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Pro Union Cemetery.
