Francisca "Frances" Ramos Ybarra

Francisca Ramos Ybarra, age 70, of Spring, Texas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 2, 2022, surrounded by her family in Houston, Texas.

Francisca, known by family and friends as Frances, was born April 21, 1951 and was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas to her parents, Francisco Garcia and Guadalupe Ramos. She graduated in 1970 from West Oso High School. She immediately joined the United States Air Force upon graduating high school and was a proud Airman, serving from June 1970 to Dec 1971 and receiving an honorable discharge. During her time of service, she met her husband, Samuel E. Ybarra, and they married while in the Air Force in 1971. She worked as an accounts receivable clerk for many years and in her early years she got her cosmetology license; blessing many a family member with her new found skills. Frances was very crafty and would enjoy making floral arrangements. Frances’ most recent pastime was working on word search books.

Frances is survived by her loving family, Samuel Garcia Ybarra (son); Sarita Garcia DeLuna (daughter); Michael Angelo DeLuna (son-in-law); Jesus Garcia (brother); Nina Garcia (sister-in-law); Francisco Samuel Ybarra (grandson); Celestina O. DeLuna (granddaughter); Briella C. Ybarra (granddaughter); Bellicia L. Ybarra (granddaughter); Adan Ybarra (brother-in-law); Elsa Cervantes (sister-in-law); Ernesto Ybarra (brother-in-law); Agapito Ybarra (brother-in-law); Viola Ybarra (sister-in-law); Olga E. Ybarra (sister-in-law); and Pablo E. Ybarra, Jr (brother-in-law). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. Ybarra; her parents, Francisco and Guadalupe Garcia; her sister, Epifania; her brother, Isaac; her sister, Aurora; her in-laws, Pablo and Celestina Ybarra; her sister-in-law, Mary; her and brother-in-law, Jose.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Trevino Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave; with a Chapel Service to begin at 12:00 PM. Rite of Committal and Interment with full military honors will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
