Gabriel Anthony Ortega

Gabriel Anthony Ortega passed away on January 17, 2019 the age of 45. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend; and proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine. Gabriel was deeply loved by his family and friends; and will be dearly missed by those whom knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Martinez; maternal grandparents, Pedro and Hortencia Capetillo; paternal grandparents, Victoriano and Trinidad Martinez.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Adrianna Ortega; children, Madalyn Marissa Banda, Alvia Renna Salinas, Gabriel Anthony Ortega, III., Gia Denise Ortega, Emilee Brooke Garcia, and Brody Cash Garcia; mother, Maria Ester Barrera; siblings, Henry Ortega, Jr., Patsy Johnson, Mark (Gina) Ortega, Monica Martinez, Jonathan (Valerie) Martinez, Raymond Martinez, Criselda Martinez, and Christina Martinez; 5 grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 PM. A chapel service will take place on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Trevino Funeral Home. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM on Monday, January 28, 2019 to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery for Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors.
