Genaro M. Arispe III

Genaro M. Arispe III, affectionately known as Jerry to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, at the age of 65 in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on June 25, 1959, in the same vibrant city, Jerry lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Genaro Arispe Jr., and is lovingly remembered by his parents, Mary and Mike Haney. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and laughter, which will be carried on by his siblings, Joe Arispe (Sharee), Debra Pena (John), and Kenneth Mecom (Sally). His numerous nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle Jerry, will cherish the countless memories of joy and companionship he provided throughout their lives.

A true Texan at heart, Jerry's passion for the Dallas Cowboys was unmatched. He spent many a Sunday cheering on his favorite team, sharing the highs and lows with an infectious enthusiasm that drew others to join in the excitement. His love for television extended beyond sports, as he found comfort and nostalgia in watching old TV shows, often recounting episodes and sharing laughs with anyone who would listen.

Jerry was also the undisputed BBQ master among his friends and family. His grilling skills were legendary, and his BBQs were more than just a meal; they were a gathering of hearts. The aroma of his famous recipes would waft through the neighborhood, signaling a time of fellowship and feasting that many looked forward to with great anticipation.

Those who knew Jerry would describe him as the epitome of loving, kind, and friendly. His presence was a source of joy and comfort, and his ability to connect with people was truly remarkable. He approached life with a gentle spirit and a compassionate heart, always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of encouragement.

As we bid farewell to Jerry, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that touched the lives of so many. His memory will continue to inspire us to embrace the simple pleasures of life, to cherish our loved ones, and to spread kindness wherever we go. Jerry's spirit will forever be a beacon of love and friendship in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Jerry will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his memory will continue to comfort us all. Rest in peace, dear Jerry, until we meet again.
