George Garza

George Garza, born on October 10, 1977, and a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, in his hometown of Corpus Christi, TX. Known for his friendly demeanor and generous spirit, George's presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him.

George's life was one of dedication and love, especially towards his family. He is survived by his adoring mother, Emilie "Mimi" Rodriguez, and his cherished children, George Anthony Garza and Emilie Mae Garza. His memory will also be treasured by his siblings, Diana R. Garcia, Vince Morales, Sandra Morales, Kent Osborn, Cindy Slaughter, Guadalupe Garza Jr., Robert Garza, Raul Garza, Richard Garza (Eliosa), Rene Garza, Nancy Garza Veliz (George), and Norma Garza. The legacy of his kindhearted nature lives on through his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, who will miss him dearly. George's life was a testament to the power of kindness. He was always there to lend a helping hand, whether it was through his work, within his community, or when spending time with friends and family. His ability to make everyone feel included and cared for was one of his most remarkable traits. George found solace and joy in fishing, a pastime that allowed him to bask in the tranquility of nature while also sharing moments of camaraderie with his companions.  He also enjoyed watching movies, often gathering with family and friends to share the excitement of a good film. His love for the simple pleasures in life, like hanging out and creating memories with those he loved, was infectious.

Those who had the privilege of knowing George understood that his actions were guided by a deep sense of compassion. He approached every situation with a kind heart and an open mind, making him a friend to many. His warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and his willingness to put others before himself defined his character. His legacy of kindness, friendship, and selflessness will continue to inspire those who knew him.

George’s family will receive condolences Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St., from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, with Prayer Service to begin at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.
