George was the 3rd born child in a family whom Mom called her Lucky 7.
George was a quiet and shy person, but he was also kind and forgiving and very humble. At a young age, he developed a fever that led to seizures. He went through years of medical treatments and medications. His seizures, both big and small, continued into his 30’s. And yet George persevered, and God gave him a long life. George made good use of it and he went on to make long-life friends and to go out to eat with them and his family. He moved around on the bus since he didn’t drive; he seemed to know all the bus schedules and routes. He walked shorter distances to get to places because he didn’t want to bother others for rides. Seldom did he take our offers to take him anywhere.
All his life, his family and friends knew his qualities and his honesty. He never took anything that wasn’t his and he returned anything he found that belonged to others. He was truthful and didn’t lie no matter what.
He loved pets, took care of them and was gentle to them. He defended them when people were cruel to them. His other favorite things in life were food, watching baseball games on TV, and especially strawberry ice cream sundaes.
George was a valued and equal member of this family and will continue to remember him in our hearts. We miss him, but being people of faith, we believe in being united with him again because we are Mom’s Lucky 7.
We want to thank all who gave us their prayers. Also, thanks for all the help and kindness from people who assisted us with his final arrangements. Thanks to the church personnel and to George’s pallbearers. God bless you all.
