George Homer Tamez

George Homer Tamez, age 69, passed away November 2, 2015 surrounded by his loving family after a battle with liver cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Anastacia Tamez; and brother, Roberto Tamez Jr. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Tamez; sons, Jorge (Olga) Tamez, Jr. and Roberto "Bobby" Tamez; sisters, Delma (Danny) Escobar, Alma Morgan (Joe De La Torre) and Elvira (Felipe) Hinojosa; brother, Arturo "Archie" Tamez; grandchildren, Ivy Tamez, Yesenia Tamez, Destiny Tamez, and Kassandra Tamez; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St., from 3 to 9 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015; with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM that evening. Rites of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 2 PM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Old Collins Cemetery.
