Gilberto Rene Villarreal

Gilberto Rene Villarreal, age 25, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Gilberto was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 23, 1997, to his parents Rene Villarreal Jr and Melissa G. Villarreal. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rene Villarreal Jr, and his daughter, Serenity Villarreal.

Gilberto leaves behind his loving wife, Leesa Hernandez, and children, Sophia Villarreal, Steven Villarreal, and Sarah Villarreal.

Gilberto is also survived by his sisters, Nelyssa Villarreal and Illiana Villarreal; brother, Romeo Villarreal; grandparents Esperanza and Luis Gonzales, along with Grandma and Grandpa Hernandez; mother and father-in- law, Lisa and Steven Perales; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alyssa, Mariah, Lia, Araceli, Emily, Miguel, and Nacho; aunts, Shereen (Sammy), Ruthy, Ramona and Laura; best friends and brothers by heart, Christian Montalvo and Roland Sorder; his Uncle D and numerous other aunts and uncles; and nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other beloved family members and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:00pm followed by Liturgy of the Word at 1:30 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel that afternoon.
