Gloria Alicia Jones

Gloria Alicia Jones, a beacon of light and love, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on January 13, 1969, Gloria's life journey began as the cherished daughter of Guadalupe Jones, Jr. and Juanita Savell. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Gloria's life was marked by her unwavering faith, boundless courage, and the immense love she held for her family and friends. She was a beloved sister to Joe Dino Jones, Sr., Angelina Guzman, Michael Jones, and David (Lillian Bernal) Jones. Gloria also held a special place in her heart for her half-brothers, Guadalupe Jones, III and Raul Jones. The bond she shared with her brother-in-law, Ricardo Guzman, was filled with mutual respect and affection. Her legacy will live on through her surviving family, including Felix Olivares, Jr., Danny Leonard (Mariah) Olivares, and “Adrienne Olivares”. Gloria's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of memories for her grandchildren, Kendal Olivares, JoAnn Lynn Flores, Jayden Lee Olivares, Jasmine Naveah Olivares, Justine Renee Olivares, Natalie Olivares, and Danny Olivares, Jr. The light of her life also shone brightly on her numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry forward her spirit of generosity and kindness. A true Jill-of-all-trades, Gloria's career path was as diverse as her interests. She approached every role, whether as a clerk, waiter, or housekeeper, with dedication and a smile that could brighten even the dreariest of days. Her involvement in associations and community events was a testament to her commitment to service and her belief in the power of unity. Gloria's passions were as colorful and dynamic as her personality. She found joy in dancing, immersing herself in the dramatic twists of novelas, and reveling in the rhythms of tejano music. A loyal fan of "The Hometown Boys", Gloria was known for her unwavering support of The Dallas Cowboys, always ready to cheer them on with fervor. Her love for makeup was matched only by her love for tending to her garden, ensuring that both her face and her yard were always presented with care and beauty. Even in leisure, Gloria's zest for life was evident. She enjoyed the thrill of playing loteria with friends and family, and her adventurous spirit was on full display when she was trying her luck at the slot machines. Her ability to find happiness in simple pleasures was a lesson she unknowingly taught to all who were lucky enough to cross her path. Gloria's life was a reflection of her faith-filled nature. She faced every challenge with courage and emerged from each with a loving heart, ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her presence was a comforting force, and her absence will be deeply felt by the many lives she touched. As we say our final goodbyes to Gloria Alicia Jones, we are reminded of the profound impact one person can have on the world around them. Her spirit, characterized by love, joy, and resilience, will continue to inspire us. Although she has left our sight, the essence of who she was remains forever etched in our hearts. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Gloria Alicia Jones will be held in loving remembrance by her family, friends, and all who were graced by her kindness. As we honor her memory, we are comforted by the thought that she is dancing amongst the stars, her laughter a melody that will guide us through our days.
