Guadalupe Banda, Jr.

Guadalupe L. Banda Jr., age 61, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013. Guadalupe was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a barber for over 43 years, and a local artist and musician since he was 11 years old. His passion was music; he taught music, and was most known for forming his band Los Hermanitos Banda with his brothers. Guadalupe was a great outdoorsman; he loved hunting, and fishing. He will be dearly missed by all whom knew him. He is preceded in death by his step-father, Clarence Deason, and father-in-law, Richard F. Vela Sr. Guadalupe leaves behind his life time companion, Dalia Banda; mother, Guadalupe Banda Deason; children: Guadalupe L. (Rita) Banda III, Rita (Luciano Jr.) Sarabia, Thelma (Kenneth) Banda-Pratt, Nicolas Edward Banda, Tanya (Robert) Reid; brothers, and sisters: Lupita (David) Garcia, George (Annabella) Banda Sr., Elizabeth (Roland) Salazar, Carlos (Belinda) Banda Sr., Pastor Bill Banda; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and father, Guadalupe L. Banda Sr. The family would like to give a special thank you to Christus Spohn Shoreline and other specialty doctors and staff of the ER, 8th Floor B, and the Cardiovascular ICU, for their loving and exceptional care during this difficult time. Services were held private by family.
