Guadalupe M. Briseño, Sr. passed away on December 30, 2018 at the age of 81. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Guadalupe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was deeply loved by his family and friends; and will be dearly missed by all whom loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Christina Briseño; sisters, Francisca Martinez and Senaida Moya; and brother, Gilberto Briseño.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 59 years, Azucena Briseño; son, Guadalupe Briseño, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Briseño; grandchildren, Omar Briseño and Meghan Briseño; great-grandsons, Roman Valor Briseño and Lucas Rex Briseño; sisters, Christina Castillo, Aurora Diaz, Teresa Fresces, and Josie Villarreal; brothers, Nicholas, Lorenzo, Albert, Gilbert, Michael, Leonardo, and Jose Briseño; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, January 06, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a holy rosary recited at 6:00 PM. A chapel service will take place at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 07, 2019 at Trevino Funeral Home. The funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM to Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery for a Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors at 1:00 PM.
