Guadalupe Garcia Jr., aged 76, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas, embraced by the love of his family and the memories of a life well-lived. Born on June 29, 1947, in San Diego, Texas, Guadalupe was a cherished son, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a respected member of

his community. Guadalupe was baptized in 1974 as a Jehovah's Witness which he continued to serve as a member until his passing.

Guadalupe's life journey began as the treasured child of Elodia and Guadalupe Garcia Sr. He grew up alongside his siblings, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Carmen Barrera, Jesus Garcia, Rene Garcia, and Isabel Montalvo; and his first wife, Ninfa Vela Garcia. Guadalupe Garcia was married to his wife, Ninfa Garcia for 35 years and together had Romeo Garcia (Patsy), Mariceli Green (Christopher), and Lizzette Sanchez.

He is survived by his children; and sister, Gracie Garcia.

Guadalupe Garcia was married to Esther Garcia for 17 years. Together, they built a family foundation that was strong, nurturing, and full of joy with his two stepsons, two stepdaughters and 8 grandchildren. Guadalupe's professional life was marked by an impressive tenure of over five decades with H-E-B, where he was not only a dedicated employee, but also a friend and mentor to many. His steadfast work ethic, coupled with his warm personality, made him a beloved figure among his colleagues and the community he served.

In honoring Guadalupe's journey, we celebrate the remarkable man he was and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. His life was a tapestry woven with threads of grace, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community. Though we mourn his passing, we take solace in knowing that he lived a life full of purpose and love.

Guadalupe’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Funeral Service to begin at 5:30 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
