Guadalupe "Lupe" B. Ortiz

Guadalupe “Lupe” B. Ortiz passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 74. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lupe loved the color pink and enjoyed playing her games on her phone and gambling. Everyone knew her favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros.  She cooked the best menudo and ribs with rice. Her favorite day was Valentine’s Day and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Barrientes; her husband, Dionicio J. Ortiz; and her sister, Sandra Rios.

Left behind to cherish Lupe’s memories are her children, Jennifer (Alejandro Jr.) Noyola, Jeannette (Richard) Molina, and Jeremy David (Denise Amy Thomas) Ortiz; brother, Ray (Alicia) Barrientes; sister, JoAnn (Frank) Juarez; grandchildren, Alejandro Justin Noyola III, Ethan James Noyola, Christian Lee Noyola, Gabriella Faith Molina, and Gilana Grace Molina; aunt, Carolina Mondragon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara Port Ave; with recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 8:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales, Corpus Christi, TX 78416. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
