Guadalupe R. (Sr.) Gomez

Guadalupe R. Gomez, Sr. passed away on October 26, 2020 at the age of 75.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He will be missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Maria Inez Gomez; grandson, Joseph Vasquez; and granddaughter, Esperanza Vasquez.

Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Janie Gomez; children, Mary Garcia, Paula Garza, Guadalupe (Teresa) Gomez, Jr., and Luciano (Elsa) Gomez; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Regina Gomez (Joe) Hill, Alberto (Alicia) Gomez, Jr., Henry Gomez, Mary Alice Gomez, Rosalinda (Abel) Salazar, and Valentine Gomez; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences Friday, October 30, 2020, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, from 8 AM to 9 AM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 8:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 AM with full military honors.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
