Hector C. Lopez

Hector C. Lopez sailed on to heaven on Monday, December 12, 2016. He began his voyage on February 17, 1946. Mr. Lopez was a 1967 West Oso High graduate and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1967 – 1971. He retired from CCAD on December 21, 2012 after 38 years of service. Mr. Lopez was the anchor of his family by providing and caring for them, not to mention showing strength when the family sailed through rough waters. He is preceded in death by his son, Alejandro Avelino Lopez; parents, Tomas and Juana Maria Cipriano Lopez; brother Julian Lopez, Sr.; nephew, Julian O. Silvas; brother-in-law, Juan Reyes. Hector is survived by his devoted wife, Evita Marinez Lopez; daughters, Maria Elvia Lopez (Alfonso Garcia) and Cristina Doloras Lopez; son, Michael Shawn Wiley; sisters, Angelica Reyes, Connie Peña, Margarita (Manuel) Alvarez; brother, Tomas (Alicia) Lopez, Jr.; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. The family would like to thank Windsor Nursing Home and Altus Hospice for the compassion and care for Mr. Lopez and his family. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 4 to 9 pm at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. A Chapel Service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10am at Trevino Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
