Hector Vargas Sr.

Hector G. Vargas, Sr., known affectionately as Hector by his friends and family, passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on October 18, 1954, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Hector was a lifelong resident of the city he loved. His passing, due to illness, occurred in the same city where he drew his first breath, surrounded by the landscapes and community that were integral to his story.

Hector's life was marked by his dedication to the city of Corpus Christi, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. Hector’s contributions were not just limited to his professional role; his generous spirit led him to put his handy skills to work for his beloved city, being an active participant in various associations. Hector’s family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave, from 9:30 AM until 12:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM for Rite of Committal and Interment with Full Military Honors at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
