Henry A. Alvarez

Henry A. Alvarez, age 84, passed away on October 21, 2015. Henry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He retired after 35 years of service from Borden's as a truck driver; he also was a veteran and served his country in the US ARMY. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Alvarez; mother, Mary Arnold Alvarez; brothers, Gilbert, Albert, Raymond and Simon Alvarez; sisters, Virgie Gutierrez, Minnie Garcia; Nora Aguilar, and Frances Canales. Henry leaves behind his daughter, Cynthia A. Black; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary A. Luna, Mary Stanley, Bernice Quintanilla, Minnie Pena; numerous nephews and nieces. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at 10 am on Friday, October 30, 2015; burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
