Henry Cantu

Henry Cantu, a man whose loving spirit and adventurous heart brought joy to all who knew him, passed away on August 29, 2024, after a life well-lived.

Henry loved fishing and shrimping and he also enjoyed listening to his favorite music groups like Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, and Black Sabbath. He retired from the City of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation in 2016.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Israel and Trinidad Cantu; his son, James Anthony Sam; his brother, Johnny Cantu; his sister, Minerva Cantu Flores; and his brother-in-law, Johnny Lopez.

Henry is survived by his children, Christina Cantu, Teresa Cantu Gonzalez, Inez Trinidad Cantu, and James Cantu; his siblings, Mary (Bert) Lopez, Raul (Dora) Cantu, Lucy (Ruben) Rodriguez, and Gloria Lopez; 9 grandkids and 5 great grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews.
