Herminia Garcia

It is with great sadness that we announce Herminia Garcia, affectionately known as Minnie, passed peacefully in her home in Corpus Christi, TX, on June 29, 2024, at the age of 79.

Minnie is survived by her loving partner, Pascual Gomez; her children, Salome and Blas Longoria; her remaining siblings, Cruz, Sylvia, and Thomas Garcia; her grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces who loved her dearly.

Jesus is the open door to Heaven. Jesus is always waiting for us with arms wide open, ready to welcome us into His heart so He can transform our life. Waiting for her at the Door to Heaven, Minnie is joining her parents, Pedro and Theodora Garcia; husband, Jessie Lopez; son, Leo Longoria; her brothers, Pedro, Santiago, Antonio, and Salvador Garcia; sisters, Ramona Villafranco and Cecilia Rodriguez, who is her forever sidekick.

While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering. Services to honor and celebrate the life of Herminia Garcia will be held at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
