Obituary

“Baby Hugo” Hugo Miguel Briseño, born on March 27, 2007, passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 19.

A young man whose life was filled with promise, ambition, and a heart full of love, Hugo was preparing to graduate from Solomon Coles High School and take the next step toward his future by attending Del Mar College. With a strong desire to serve others, he dreamed of joining the Marines and had already earned his HVAC certification, demonstrating his determination, work ethic, and commitment to building a bright future.

Hugo found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Whether traveling with loved ones, gathering for family events, or simply being at home surrounded by those he cared about most, Hugo valued every moment spent with family. He enjoyed gaming with friends, being in the water, and embracing life’s adventures with a playful spirit and infectious smile.

One of Hugo’s most admirable qualities was his selflessness. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and devoted much of his time to helping his mother care for his father. His kindness, patience, and unwavering love for his family reflected the remarkable young man he had become.

Hugo was blessed with a close circle of friends who were more like brothers to him. He shared countless memories, laughter, and adventures with Broderick, Jordan, AJ, RJ, and Austin, whose friendship meant so much to him throughout his life.

He is survived by those who cherished him most deeply: his parents, Hugo Miguel Briseño and Melissa Cisneros; his sisters, Leeanna Cisneros, Alyssa Briseño, and Lauren Briseño; his aunts, Maria Garcia, Linda Ruiz, Guadalupe McNabb, and Myra Briseño; his cousin, Joe Robert Ruiz; along with many other family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Hugo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miguel Ignacio Briseño, Socorro Briseño, Guadalupe Garcia, and Joe B. Garcia, his uncle Joe B. Garcia III, whose legacies continue through the generations.

In remembering “Baby Hugo” Hugo Miguel Briseño, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, loyalty, and compassion. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on those around him will last forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
